Children are expected to attend presented appropriately for a ballet class. Long hair must be tied back, ideally in a bun. Short hair should be kept off the face with clips or a hair band. By the third week of your first term, everyone must have the correct uniform.
We are introducing a new uniform from Easter 2018. Children with the old red uniform should get the new blue uniform at some point before January 2019.
Pre-primary, Primary and Grade 1 (approximate ages 4-7): Girls wear a short sleeved, skirted leotard in aqua. A white crossover cardigan may also be worn. Pale pink ballet socks (or tights) and pink ballet shoes with elastics.
Grades 2 and 3 (approximate ages 8-11): Girls wear a sleeveless leotard in royal blue. A navy blue crossover cardigan may also be worn. Pale pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes with elastics.
Grades 4-5 (approximate age 12+): Girls wear a sleeveless leotard in navy blue. A navy blue crossover cardigan may also be worn. Pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes with ribbons or elastics.
Boys aged up to approximately 10 wear a fitted white short sleeved t-shirt or vest, with navy blue dance shorts. Older boys wear black dance tights. They wear thin white socks, and white ballet shoes.
Uniform should be ordered using the form below, and payments made directly into the Bourn Ballet School bank account, at the time of order.
if your order is urgent, please include £3.95 extra for postage. Otherwise your order will be added to the regular monthly order placed around the 1st of the month, and your order will be available at class about a week later.
